News on Active Perth Proposals

Hello.

First of all, the council would like to thank you for your contribution to the website over the last 6 months. We've had well over 6,000 visits to the websites during the period of consultation, with over 1,200 comments. A fantastic response! This is well and above anything we've achieved before. Whilst we recognise the digital approach isn't for everyone, it has allowed to engage with a much wider audience which is what we wanted to achieve.

Complementing the websites, was a series of public engagements during October 2018 and January 2019, as well as a number of private workshops with key stakeholders who represent local communities, ethnic minority groups and people with mobility and sensory impairments.

We acknowledge we haven't been able to engage with everyone we'd like to at this point, so we will tackle that at the next point. What is that? Well, we will be submitting our business case on the 26th April. On the back of that, the council and partners will present its bid to a panel on the 6th June in Edinburgh, after which we will find out by the end of June if we have been successful with our bid. As soon as we hear anything, we will be in touch and look to kick off the next phase of public engagement. We hope to be in touch with good news soon!!
